Great article, Keirh. As a plaintiffs’ attorney I’m consistently saddened/ enraged by the bogus propaganda being served up by the tort reform lobby. Truth is that it’s often difficult for people with real injuries to find lawyers, file lawsuits and get fair compensation. The tort reformers have been so effective in spewing their “frivolous lawsuit” and “runaway jury award” nonsense everywhere that it’s very difficult to get a fair jury that’s not already hostile to the very idea of civil litigation (before they even hear any facts or evidence).
